After their success with the popular Kundah Hotel, the duo of Raphaël G. Théberge and Cablou Pouliot opened Courtbouillon with two certainties: the menu would serve Cajun cuisine with a Québécois accent, and Libro was named their official table booking and guest engagement platform.
“Our team has used many reservation systems, but Libro is by far the most versatile and efficient in every possible way,” says Samuel Pouliot, co-owner and head server at Courtbouillon.
Launching a new, high-demand restaurant means staying on top of every seat. According to Pouliot, the Courtbouillon team finds Libro particularly effective at managing tables and tracking the flow of service. If a table finishes earlier than expected, or there is a gap in service, staff can quickly fill seats by accessing the waitlist and contacting guests directly through the Libro platform. Libro includes no-show management tools as well, helping the restaurant stay booked and avoid last-minute cancellations (and lost revenue).
Libro’s integrated guest survey and review capabilities provided Courtbouillon with a more streamlined and user-friendly approach to managing feedback and Google reviews. The team can respond to customer comments quickly and drive improvements based on post-dining insights without relying on additional apps or third-party sites.
“Being able to link customer reviews generated through Libro to our restaurant’s Google account has played a major role in achieving our excellent Google rating,” notes Pouliot.
With decades of combined restaurant experience, the Courtbouillon team values local partners and long-term business relationships. According to Pouliot, Libro’s stellar customer service and French-speaking team are major assets of working with Libro.
“Libro is a hassle-free platform compared to others, and it’s more cost-effective too,” says Pouliot. “And they’re local. The decision to partner with Libro was simple.”
